I Don’t Know Why Vardan Oskanyan Decided He Could Deceive the People Again: Aleksanyan

I don’t know why Vardan Oskanyan has decided that he can deceive the people again after numerous unsuccessful attempts, but it is a fact that he is mistaken once more. This was stated by Vahe Aleksanyan, a member of the National Assembly from the ‘Civil Contract’ faction, on his Facebook page.

“First, he went and signed a draft law which says that recognizing Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan should entail criminal penalties. Very good, but the same Vardan Oskanyan and Robert Kocharyan personally negotiated an option to exchange Artsakh for the Meghri region. If Artsakh was not recognized as part of Azerbaijan, then how could they hand over the sovereign territory of Armenia, Meghri, to Azerbaijan in return? Moreover, Kocharyan boasted to Prime Minister Aram Sargsyan that he presented this option to Father Aliyev through a Czech journalist.”

“But that’s not all, Oskanyan says: ‘The war was not just unlikely, but excluded; it was Pashinyan who brought the war upon the people with his actions.’ Here, it must be asked, if it was excluded, then what was April? Well, even if you insist that after April it was excluded, then what was President Serzh Sargsyan talking about from the podium of the National Assembly a week before the revolution? What deadlock in negotiations was he referring to? What military pathway was he speaking of, which Azerbaijan, according to him, was not going to abandon?”

“Does Mr. Oskanyan really think that people have no memory? And regarding the signature collection, Ohanian and the others are merely encouraged by the fact that the law cannot have retroactive effect, and now he is speaking as if he is a nightingale,” wrote the Civil Contract MP.
