US Ambassador's Comments on the Presence of Armenian and American Flags at the Factory Site in Yeraskh
The US Ambassador to Armenia has commented on the presence of Armenian and American flags raised at the site of a metallurgical factory being built in Yeraskh.
“The US is not in favor of cross-border gunfire that could endanger any civilian. We have expressed serious concerns in this regard. We call for the troops on both sides to withdraw in a mirrored fashion to reduce the likelihood of such incidents occurring, and we hope that the parties can reach an agreement on this matter,” he stated in an interview on Public Television.
It is noteworthy that on June 20, the Armenian and United States flags were raised at the site of the iron smelting factory in the Yeraskh community of the Ararat region to serve as a deterrent to Azerbaijan to cease gunfire towards the factory.
