Volodin: 'Putin Did Everything to Prevent Bloodshed and Chaos'

The speaker of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, wrote on his Telegram channel that the days of the armed rebellion attempt in Russia, June 23-24, have entered the history of the country as days of unity and consolidation around President Vladimir Putin. According to him, the attempt at rebellion has shown how high Putin's authority is among citizens and military personnel.

He stated that the President of the Russian Federation emerged from this difficult situation with his positions in the country and the world even stronger. 'He did everything to prevent bloodshed and chaos. Analyzing the challenges our country has faced in the past, we can draw the following conclusion: if we had leaders like Putin in 1917 and 1991, there would have been neither a revolution nor the collapse of the USSR,' Volodin noted.

It is worth recalling that the forces of Wagner had established control in Rostov-on-Don and were preparing to move to other regions, but after a phone conversation between Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Wagner founder Yevgeny Prigozhin, the situation stabilized.
