We Will Not Have the Tendency to Differentiate Corruption by Past or Present Logic – Pashinyan

Corruption is corruption, regardless of the year it occurred, and any corruption that took place in any year inflicts the same damage to the future. This was emphasized by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a high-level conference dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the establishment of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia, themed "The Independence of the Prosecutor's Office as a Guarantee of the Rule of Law."

While discussing the role of the prosecutor's office, the prime minister highlighted the importance of combating corruption. "Our conviction remains that corruption is a destructive evil for any state, especially for a country like Armenia, whose challenges are well-known to us and, for objective reasons, sometimes double or triple. The fight against corruption must continue to be a priority issue for Armenia's political, judicial, legislative, and press spheres. Moreover, we have never had and will not have the tendency to differentiate corruption by past or present logic. Corruption is corruption, irrespective of when it occurred. Any corruption that took place in any year inflicts the same damage to the future," said Pashinyan.

The Prime Minister assured that they cannot tolerate the presence of this phenomenon, and the daily struggle against it must be increasingly consistent.
