‘This information is absolutely false’: Simonian on the statement of the Artsakh MP
Artsakh MP Metakse Hakobyan stated that I allegedly have not contacted the President of the National Assembly of Artsakh since the blockade. I would like to inform you that this information is absolutely false. This was written by the President of the National Assembly Alen Simonian on his Facebook page.
“Since the blockade, the President of the National Assembly of Artsakh and I have communicated more than once, we have talked many times. There were also numerous communications after the blockade with the President of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan. I would also like to mention that back in February, we offered the President of the National Assembly, Arthur Tovmasyan, to hold a remote session of the inter-parliamentary commission. The President of the National Assembly of Artsakh requested to postpone it, citing health issues, and promised to call to arrange the session. They never called,” Simonian noted.
He added, “I suggest this MP refrain from bringing kitchen-level discussions to the agenda, refute the falsehoods spread by him, and not sow discord in our relations.”
It is recalled that Artsakh National Assembly “Justice” faction secretary Metakse Hakobyan stated: “There have long been no relations between the National Assemblies of Artsakh and Armenia, but during these 200 days of blockade, there are absolutely none. Alen Simonian has not deemed it necessary, at least once during these days of blockade, to make calls or inquire about well-being.”
