“The Security and Rights of the Artsakh Armenians is Everyone's Issue,” Mirzoyan
More international efforts are needed to prevent the ethnic cleansing being carried out by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated by Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a panel discussion at the Dubrovnik conference.
Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia is engaging in good-faith negotiations with Azerbaijan, but continues to face threats and actual use of force during the negotiation process and on the ground.
“We are dealing with the blockade of Nagorno-Karabakh. We need more international efforts to prevent ethnic cleansing,” the Armenian Foreign Minister declared.
Ararat Mirzoyan highlighted that the issue of the security and rights of the Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh is everyone's issue.
“The people of Nagorno-Karabakh are facing a real danger of ethnic cleansing. If the world order, which we talk about and dream of, is based on values, then humanity has a chance. Let me reiterate—we are talking about human lives. Right now, we are discussing global disorder and violations of international law, but we have been discussing this since 2020, when Azerbaijan launched an aggressive war in Nagorno-Karabakh, followed by several incursions into Armenia's sovereign territory,” said the Armenian Foreign Minister.
