VIDEO: Apple and Lacoste Stores Looted in France
Disorders have erupted in the center of Strasbourg, France. The Apple and Lacoste stores have been looted, according to Actu Strasbourg.
About 50 individuals entered and looted the Apple store, taking all displayed phones. It is reported that the store did not manage to close its doors in time.
The Lacoste store was also looted. A video circulating on Twitter shows people entering and exiting the store with clothing.
In an interview with Auroranews.am, one of the Armenians living in France mentioned that all shops in the country are closing. It is expected that the disturbances will escalate in the coming days, as these are the first weekends following the murder that sparked the protests.
The mass unrest in France began after a police officer shot and killed a 17-year-old teenager driving a Mercedes, who had refused to comply with law enforcement demands in the Nanterre suburb of Paris. The court has decided to detain the shooter.
On the night of June 30, more than 660 citizens were detained. At least one third of those detained are young people and minors.
As reported, entertainment events will be canceled in especially dangerous areas of France.
