Man Who Opened Fire at Chisinau Airport Arrested

A man who opened fire at Chisinau Airport in Moldova's capital has been arrested. This information was reported by the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“Thanks to the efforts of the police, the aggressor who fired shots at Chisinau Airport has been neutralized. There is no danger at this time. The attacker has been injured and is receiving medical assistance,” the statement said.

Earlier, it was reported that an unknown individual opened fire at the airport, leading to the evacuation of passengers and a temporary suspension of air traffic. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the shooter was a foreign national who had been barred from entering the country.

The shooting resulted in two casualties.
