2-Year-Old Child Falls from Window in Ararat: Details

Today, an emergency incident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 17:00, the Ararat police department received a call from the 'Ararat' medical center, reporting that a child had been brought in with a diagnosis of "closed head trauma, cerebral contusion, brain coma, upper airway obstruction, soft tissue contusion in the occipital region" and was in extremely serious condition.

According to Shamshyan.com, police and investigators found that the injured child is 2-year-old Arek S., who was transferred to the hospital from the yard of a building on Komitas Street in Ararat city. It was also revealed that at approximately 16:50, while playing in the bedroom of an apartment on the second floor of the mentioned building, the child climbed onto the windowsill and leaned against a net secured to the open window, which gave way, causing the child to fall onto the concrete ground below.

As reported by G. Shamshyan, moments ago the child was transferred from the 'Ararat' medical center to 'Surb Astvatsmyr' medical center in Yerevan by ambulance.

A case has been initiated in the Vedi investigative department regarding the incident.
