Funeral for Tinder in Sochi: Mournful Youth Bid Farewell
A funeral ceremony for the romantic dating platform Tinder was held in Sochi. Young mourners, dressed entirely in black, gathered to bid farewell to the dating site that has left Russia, with each holding two carnations as they tearfully recounted how Tinder helped organize their personal lives.
It is worth noting that Tinder has ceased operations in Russia. Earlier, Match Group, the owner of the dating app, announced that Tinder needed to exit the Russian market by June 30. And indeed, that has happened; the app is no longer available for download in the App Store or Play Market.
However, the app still works if accessed via a VPN. Nevertheless, RBC reports that some users are experiencing issues with the web version of the site, which does not function even with a VPN.
