Why Karen Andreasyan Has Become a Target of the NSS: Details from 'Hraparak'
'Hraparak' newspaper reports: 'The NSS confirmed yesterday that the information regarding the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Karen Andreasyan, is being studied based on a letter from the Deputy Attorney General. Prior to this, several days ago, websites were writing that there is a criminal case against Andreasyan at the NSS for abuse of official powers.
Our sources say that the actions against Karen Andreasyan at the NSS are managed by the Deputy Director Andranik Simonian, who was a judge before joining the NSS and has taken on the role of curator of the judicial system, naturally with the 'blessing' of Pashinyan. He is known to be one of the Prime Minister's favorites, having previously testified against Ruben Vardazaryan and quickly advanced to the NSS.
According to reports, Simonian also has personal issues, having approached Andreasyan on a certain matter, been rejected, and stated that he would meet the same fate as Jhangiryan. Our sources in the system do not rule out the possibility that the government is trying to make Andreasyan more compliant, although it seems that there is not much more to it.'
