US to Provide Ukraine with $500 Million Military Aid

The White House has announced another $500 million aid package for Ukraine, according to CBS.

“The package comes as Ukraine's armed forces are in approximately their third week of counteroffensive efforts, making slow progress against Russian troops,” the website notes.

The package includes 30 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and 25 Stryker armored personnel carriers. According to US officials, about 15% of the 113 Bradleys provided by the US so far have been damaged or destroyed.

The package also includes more artillery shells, Javelins, Stingers anti-tank weapons, and more munitions for previously supplied high mobility artillery rocket systems and the Patriot air defense battery.
