Azerbaijan's Armed Forces Use Mortar Towards Martakert: Artsakh Defense Ministry Issues Statement

On June 27 at approximately 19:40, Azerbaijan's Armed Forces violated the ceasefire by using mortars towards the Martakert region. This was reported by the Artsakh Defense Ministry.

“The violation of the ceasefire has been reported to the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces. Following the ceasefire violation, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense issued a statement claiming that at 20:05 on June 27, units of the Artsakh Defense Forces opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions located in the occupied areas of the Martakert region, resulting in an alleged firearm injury to an Azerbaijani serviceman. This is not true,” the statement said.

It is noteworthy that Azerbaijan's Armed Forces have violated the ceasefire once again in the area where, on June 22, Artsakh Defense Forces contract soldier Mher Kamo Hakobyan was wounded by gunfire.
