Russian Military Police Arrest Four Wagner Commanders in Syria
Russian military police have arrested the head of the Wagner Group's local branch in As-Suwayda, along with three other senior commanders from the same group, at the Khmeimim airbase. This was reported by Al-Hadath, citing sources.
It was noted that the Russian police also visited Wagner's representatives in Deir ez-Zor, Hama, and Damascus.
On June 24, Wagner forces blocked the administrative buildings in Rostov-on-Don and began their movement towards Moscow. President Vladimir Putin labeled the actions of the group’s leader as a "stab in the back." On the same day, the press service of the President of Belarus announced negotiations between Alexander Lukashenko and Prigozhin. Subsequently, the head of Wagner's PMC stated that he decided to turn his columns around and send them back to field camps.
