Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a message addressing the attempted armed rebellion organized by the Wagner Group in Russia the previous day.

Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to the Russian people for their resilience, unity, and patriotism. According to him, any form of blackmail or attempts to incite internal unrest are doomed to fail.

“The armed rebellion would have been suppressed in any case. A clear position on ensuring constitutional order has been adopted by the public, political parties, religious organizations, and society as a whole,” he stated.

Putin reiterated his offer to the Wagner Group, stating that those willing can sign a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense to serve their homeland or choose to go to Belarus or return home.

He also thanked Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko for his contribution to resolving the emerging crisis.
