14-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Set on Fire in Moscow Playground

A 14-year-old boy, burned with gasoline in a children’s playground in Moscow, has died, reports News.ru.

The incident occurred on June 5 when the boy's acquaintance poured a flammable liquid on him, set him on fire, and fled the scene. The teenager was hospitalized with burns covering 99 percent of his body.

For nearly 20 days, he was in a rehabilitation unit where doctors performed complex surgery, opening his chest to help his lungs function. Unfortunately, the boy could not be saved.

The suspect, also a teenager, has been arrested.
