One of Prigozhin's Demands Was Shoygu's Resignation

The Telegram channel 'Рыбарь', which is close to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, has reported that one of the demands of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner PMC, was the resignation of Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu and Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov.

Considering that, according to the source, the rebellion has been halted under favorable conditions for the PMC leader, there are grounds to assume that ultimately the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense will be removed.

The Kremlin had previously commented that personnel matters within the country's Ministry of Defense had not been discussed with Prigozhin.
