“Prigozhin Humiliated Putin,” Says Mikhail Podolyak

The advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mikhail Podolyak, expressed disappointment over Prigozhin's abandonment of the attempt to seize power in Russia.

“Prigozhin's phenomenal choice... You nearly neutralized Putin, seized central authority, reached Moscow, and suddenly... you retreated. Because a very specific intermediary with dubious authority (Lukashenko) promised security guarantees from the very person (Putin) who ordered you to be destroyed this morning,” Podolyak wrote.

According to him, although not without benefit, Prigozhin humiliated Putin/the state and demonstrated that the monopoly on violence no longer exists.
