Video: Azerbaijanis Target Crane at Factory Raising Flags, Says Tiran Hakobyan

We are raising the flags of Armenia and the USA to signal that we are not leaving this place and will continue the construction of the factory. This was stated today, June 20, during a conversation with reporters in the village of Yeraskh by Tiran Hakobyan, the director of GTB holding.

“We do not assume that raising the flags will provide us with military protection, etc., it is simply a record of our board of directors’ decision. By raising the flags, we are confirming our decision that we are not leaving here and will continue to build the factory. The only entity we agree with or disagree with regarding our presence here, conducting activities, and building or not building anything is the Republic of Armenia. We have the permission from the Republic of Armenia, as well as the desire and all the documents stipulated by law to construct the factory here,” said Tiran Hakobyan.

When asked why the decision to raise the flags of the two countries was made now, Hakobyan stated that they had not felt the need for it before. According to him, the Azerbaijani side is targeting construction equipment for two reasons: to intimidate and to incapacitate the equipment.

“After the first shot, there have been shots every day. The raising of the flags can simply have a psychological effect on them. We will continue our work, regardless of whether they shoot or do not shoot. We must build the factory in this area. At some point, they will understand that we are not going anywhere and will not play by those rules,” he added.
