There Is a Chance to Return Today, Tomorrow It May No Longer Exist: Volodin to Citizens Who Left Russia

According to Vyacheslav Volodin, the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, it would be better for citizens who have left Russia to return, as such an opportunity may not exist later. He made this statement in a post on his Telegram channel.

“Many who left were treated like second-class citizens. When they were leaving, they thought they would be able to sit peacefully in their place. It turned out to be otherwise. They are not given jobs. Children are harassed in schools. Businesses are being bankrupted,” Volodin wrote.

According to the Speaker of the State Duma, “to better understand the situation surrounding those who have left, it is sufficient to refer to the statement of the President of the Czech Republic, who suggested sending Russian citizens living abroad to concentration camps.”

“After such words, our citizens who still remain in Western countries should think about where they have gone, what they have found, and what awaits them. Considering what is happening, it would be wise to finally understand that there is a chance to return today, but tomorrow, amid the escalating hysteria in Western Europe, it may no longer be the case,” Volodin wrote.

The Speaker of the State Duma noted that more than half of the citizens of the Russian Federation who left since February 2022 have already returned to Russia, and this process continues.
