Threatening Russians with Murder is Unacceptable, Peskov Speaks on Consequences

Russia will punish those Ukrainian politicians who express a desire to kill Russians, as it is unacceptable to threaten Russians with murder, stated Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.

“This is what our enemies say, and we must fight against them. You cannot threaten Russians with murder. Russians must be punished for this, and we will do so,” said Peskov.

The Kremlin spokesperson noted that Mikhail Podolyak, the head of the Ukrainian President's Office, is “not a pioneer in making such statements.”

“The head of military intelligence and members of Ukraine's National Security Council have repeatedly spoken about their desire to kill as many Russians as possible. Of course, I would very much like such statements to receive some assessment abroad. They need to understand whom they are sending assistance to; they are sending assistance to actual murderers, to people who declare their intent to kill,” concluded Peskov.
