VIDEO: Professional Armenian Athlete Dedicates Victory to Armenians in Blockaded Artsakh

The latest ACA 159 mixed martial arts event was held in Sochi, featuring a highlight bout in the lightweight category between Edward Vardanyan and Artem Reznikov in the Grand Prix final.

Vardanyan secured victory via technical knockout in the third round, becoming the Grand Prix champion. He had previously won by technical knockout against Yusuf Raisov at the ACA 147 event last November. Vardanyan now boasts 25 wins and four losses in his professional MMA career.

After the fight, the Armenian athlete expressed that he dedicates his victory to the 120,000 Armenians currently blockaded in Artsakh, calling for unity and stating, “Unity gives birth to strength, and strength gives birth to rights.”

Unfortunately, it must be noted that the organizers displayed quite an improper behavior by cutting off the champion’s microphone during his speech.
