In Eastern Georgia, specifically in the Shida Kartli region, efforts are ongoing today to combat the negative effects of severe weather. According to Sputnik Georgia, heavy rainfall has led to the flooding of the banks of the Sachkhere River, inundating local household plots and damaging roads.

Additionally, debris flows from the mountains have affected electrical transmission lines in the Ateni gorge. Currently, electricity supply in the gorge has been restored. Local authorities promise to clear the roads once the water levels decrease.
