On June 15, at 15:50, the Crisis Management Center of the Regional Rescue Department of Syunik received information that between 15:00 and 15:40, hail and heavy rain had fallen in the villages of Shamb, Darbas, Lor, Shenatagh, Vorotnavan, and Getatagh.
A response team from the Fire and Rescue Unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the location. As a result of the heavy rain, water accumulations have formed in the village of Getatagh, posing a threat to the village's houses and animals.
Special equipment has been sent from the Syunik regional administration to clear the watercourses. In the village of Darbas, floodwaters have flooded a barn, resulting in the loss of 16 lambs and 50 chickens, and damaging crops. In the village of Lor, the river has swept away a concrete bridge (7 x 5 m) and a VAZ-21099 vehicle. Shepherds and livestock have been left on the other side of the river. The shepherds managed to evacuate, as well as the animals to a safe area.
The operational team of the Fire and Rescue Unit of the Regional Rescue Department is maintaining a presence in the area. The information received has been communicated to the head of the Territorial Administration and Local Self-Government Affairs of the Syunik Regional Administration, the chief specialist of the village administration, and the representative of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
