VIDEO: How Much Did You Pay Citizens to Vote for You to Become an MP? Aleksanyan to Mamijanyan

A recent court ruling has come into effect, sentencing the head of the election headquarters for the 'Honorary Having' faction for bribing voters. 'How much did you pay citizens to vote for you to become an MP? What was the price of the bribes?' asked the MP of the ruling 'Civil Contract' party, Vahagn Aleksanyan, while discussing the candidacy for a member of the Competition Protection Commission, directed at the head of the 'Honorary Having' faction, Hayk Mamijanyan.

In response, Mamijanyan stated, 'Citizens went and voted for the 'Honorary Having' faction knowing, hearing the voice coming from Yerablur, remembering that before your disastrous governance, they were safely traveling to our Artsakh. That’s why they voted for us.'

Aleksanyan also inquired about previous monopolies in the country: 'According to you, for instance, how many economic monopolies were there in Armenia in 2017? For example, when I think about this topic, the first thing that comes to my mind is bananas, and there are many people who would also mention gasoline. I would agree with that, but understanding the associations gasoline may raise in your case, considering the well-known court case, I won’t speak about that. Now, are you aware of what activities your presented candidate has engaged in regarding those monopolies?'
