American Screenwriter Cormac McCarthy Dies at 89
Cormac McCarthy, the author of "No Country for Old Men" and "The Road," has passed away. The American playwright, screenwriter, and novelist, who was a Pulitzer Prize winner, died at the age of 89, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In 2007, McCarthy received the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his post-apocalyptic novel "The Road." Many of McCarthy's novels have been adapted into films. The film adaptation of "No Country for Old Men" was released in 2007, directed by the Coen brothers. This film won four Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
