Some Partners Upset That President Erdogan Specifically Greeted the Prime Minister, Says Simonyan
The visit of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Turkey was one of the key events of the occasion. This was stated by the Chairman of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, during a briefing with reporters on June 13.
“The Prime Minister was in the spotlight, both among Turkish politicians and the international community, and his visit can be regarded as one of the main events of this occasion. Some partners were upset because, after greeting the first-row guests, President Erdogan uniquely approached the Armenian Prime Minister, who was seated in the second row, and greeted him especially,” noted Simonyan.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan traveled to Ankara on June 3 to participate in the inauguration ceremony of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Pashinyan was seated in the second row, behind Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
