Gross Violations of Sanitary Norms: Bread Production Facility in Yerevan Suspended
The inspectors of the State Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia discovered during an inspection at the bread production facility owned by individual entrepreneur Hmayak Manukyan that the facility operates with gross violations of sanitary and hygienic norms stipulated by legal acts (Yerevan).
Specifically:
- Air circulation has not been ensured in the production facility, which poses a risk of cross-contamination between food raw materials, food products, and dirt;
- Protection against the intrusion of rodents and insects, accumulation of dirt, and mold formation has not been provided;
- The walls and surfaces were not made of waterproof, washable, non-absorbent materials, did not have a smooth surface, and were not easily cleaned and disinfected;
- The dough kneading equipment, the table designated for preparing dough balls, containers, and shelves were not properly cleaned and disinfected.
By the decision of the head of the inspection body, the production activities of the bread facility have been suspended, and a deadline has been set for eliminating the identified violations.
