Gayane Hakobyan Released from Courtroom

Gayane Hakobyan has been found guilty under Article 191 (kidnapping). However, the sentence has been conditionally applied, and she has been released from the courtroom.

The court ruled to imprison Hakobyan for 4 years but decided not to impose the sentence conditionally, instead assigning her a probation period of 1 year.

It is worth noting that on May 17, information was circulated claiming that members of the NGO “Call of Sons” attempted to kidnap the Prime Minister's son. The latter filed a report with the police, prompting the Investigation Committee of Armenia to initiate criminal proceedings for kidnapping. As a result, one individual, Gayane Hakobyan, the mother of fallen soldier Zhora Martirosyan, was arrested.
