Criminal Case Initiated in Connection with Incident at 'Wonderland Park'

According to the newspaper 'Hraparak', a criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident at 'Wonderland Park' under Article 195, Part 2, Point 9 of the RA Criminal Code. This concerns a brawl involving the head of the Ararat Dahaqut community, Yurik Muradyan, and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, one of whom is a special unit officer, which we reported on last week.

In response to our inquiry yesterday, the Investigative Committee stated: 'An investigation is underway; at this moment, there are no individuals with procedural status.' We hope that the criminal case is not just for appearances and that a legal assessment will be given to the actions of the community chief, who is close to the authorities, and his associates, who, according to eyewitnesses, assaulted the special forces officer, red beret Tachat Noratunkyan.
