Baku's Response to the Armenian Foreign Ministry: Yerevan Accused of 'Double Standards'
The Azerbaijani diplomatic office has responded to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, stating that "instead of hindering peacekeeping efforts and making false statements, Armenia should respect Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, which includes the Karabakh region."
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has once again called on the Armenian side to "immediately withdraw Armenian armed formations from Azerbaijani territory," and stated: "The Armenian Foreign Ministry is blame-shifting and irresponsibly attributing the responsibility for military provocations to Azerbaijan, despite encouraging the deployment of an international mission to the Karabakh region, thereby interfering in Azerbaijan's internal affairs. This once again demonstrates that Armenia pays no regard to its international obligations."
It is worth noting that the Armenian Foreign Ministry announced today, on June 13, that there are serious concerns that Azerbaijan's military-political leadership is preparing the ground for new aggressive actions and ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh.
