Medvedev Celebrates Russia Day with Photo of Kyiv Square

Dmitry Medvedev, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, has congratulated Russians on Russia Day by posting a photo of Kyiv's central square, Maidan Nezalezhnosti, on his blog.

Medvedev predicted that Kyiv's Maidan Nezalezhnosti would soon become Russian. "Independence Square. Soon to be Russia Square," Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel.

On June 12, 1990, the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the RSFSR was adopted. In honor of this event, Russia Day has been celebrated annually at the state level since 1992 on June 12.

It should be noted that Russia's armed forces continue their special operation in Ukraine.
