Man Arrested for Attempting to Steal Diesel Fuel from Asphalting Equipment

The criminal investigators of the Ani division of the police, along with patrol officers from the Shirak province, acted on operational information and on June 11 at 03:40, discovered and arrested a 22-year-old resident of Maralik city in a field adjacent to the 92nd km section of the Yerevan-Gyumri road on suspicion of attempting to steal entrusted property.

The young man, who worked as a guard for a limited liability company, reported to the police that he had siphoned 60 liters of diesel fuel from the tank of the asphalting equipment using a rubber pipe and was preparing to extract another 20 liters when he was apprehended by officers. The individual and the documents created have been submitted to the investigative body.
