Joseph Stalin's Statue Beheaded in Georgia
In the village of Variani, Georgia, the statue of Joseph Stalin, which has been vandalized multiple times before, has now been beheaded by unknown vandals, as reported by Vesti.
The statue, erected by local residents at their own expense, was first damaged just a few days after its unveiling in February 2022; initially, the statue was painted red and later subjected to hammering.
After some time, the pedestal was restored, but on the night of June 12, the statue became a target for vandals once again, who left it headless.
Variani is located 13 kilometers from Gori, the birthplace of Joseph Stalin (Joseph Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili), the leader of the Communist Party and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU.
