Decision Made to Suspend Criminal Prosecution Against Jalal Harutyunyan

A procedural decision has been made to suspend the public criminal prosecution against former Commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, Jalal Harutyunyan. This information was reported by the Investigative Committee.

“A commission-based military scientific examination has been appointed to ensure the comprehensiveness of the proceedings, and on that basis, a procedural decision to suspend the public criminal prosecution against J.H. has been made,” stated the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, Gor Abrahamyan.

Jalal Harutyunyan was charged in connection with two incidents from the war. The first incident pertains to the well-known counteroffensive operation that took place on October 7, 2020, while the second concerns losses that occurred on October 12, 2020, as a result of what was termed an enemy offensive in one of the divisions.
