Russia Sees That Kyiv Has Neither Desire Nor Will for Dialogue, Says Peskov
The leaders of the Ukrainian regime are not allowed to start negotiations with Russia, and Russia sees that Kyiv has neither the desire nor the readiness for dialogue. This statement was made by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president.
The interview video was published on the Telegram channel of Pavel Zarubin, the host of the 'Moscow. Kremlin. Putin' program on the 'Rossiya 1' TV channel.
'We see that, first of all, the regime has no desire, secondly, it is not ready, and thirdly, there is a ban from the leaders. It can be said like this, without diplomatic hints,' Peskov stated.
According to him, there is no agreement or precondition for negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow.
'Moreover, there is currently not even a minimal basis for any form of dialogue to emerge,' Peskov noted.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated that Russia should not be pushed towards negotiations on Ukraine, as Moscow has never blocked them. She emphasized that the resumption of the negotiation process interrupted by the Kyiv regime today depends solely on the willingness of the Ukrainian authorities and their Western coordinators to engage in serious discussions on the new geopolitical realities.
Nevertheless, Moscow does not see such willingness at the moment.
