European Parliament to Discuss Situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and Lachin Corridor
The European Parliament is set to discuss the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and the Lachin corridor during its plenary session tomorrow. This information is derived from the European Parliament's schedule.
"There will be questions directed to the Vice-President of the European Commission, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell," as stated on the European Parliament's website.
It is noteworthy that on December 12, a group of Azerbaijani individuals in civilian clothing blocked the Stepanakert-Goris highway connecting Artsakh to Armenia under the pretext of environmental reasons, from which they withdrew on April 28. Previously, on February 22, 2022, the International Court of Justice applied urgent measures against Azerbaijan, forcing it to unblock the Lachin road.
This decision has not only gone unimplemented, but also on April 23, Azerbaijan established a checkpoint on the Lachin road, taking complete control over it.
