The US Aims to Remove Russia from the Peace Process Between Armenia and Azerbaijan: Galuzin

The US aims to remove Russia from the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin during a broadcast on the "Rossiya 24" television channel on Friday.

According to him, "The US, in my opinion, is trying to achieve the same goal everywhere: on one hand, to push Russia out, and on the other hand, to neo-colonially subjugate independent states that are partners and allies of Russia, intervening in our partnerships and alliances with friends and neighbors. This has always been the main goal of America," he said.

Galuzin emphasized that there is no alternative to the regulation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan based on the trilateral statement of the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. At the same time, he noted that the Russian Federation does not oppose other countries contributing to the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement.

However, he stressed that such involvement should not be merely verbal support but rather practical assistance, consistent with the fundamental agreements reached by the leaders, and which, as we see, are generally being implemented successfully.

“Accordingly, the efforts of some other mediators should add additional value in terms of the implementation of the fundamental documents regulating Armenian-Azerbaijani relations,” he concluded.
