If We See That They Are Unpunished, We Will Resort to Self-Defense: Residents of Firdusi

“A protest was held yesterday in front of the government by the residents of the Firdusi neighborhood,” reports the newspaper ‘Iravunk.’

“According to the residents, a court session concerning their homes took place, where Judge Murad Hovakimyan enthusiastically listened to the plaintiff's side while ignoring the defendant's side. The issue is that the homes of the Firdusi residents have been deemed of public interest and are being demolished, but the residents raise the question: what is the public interest in this case?

“If the government overlooks all this, it will lead to irreversible events because if we see that they are unpunished, we will resort to self-defense. Then don’t say that this or that act is unlawful. You are not obeying any laws. We will defend our property in our own way,” warned one of the residents.”
