Zelensky has visited the Kherson region of Ukraine to assess the consequences of the breach at the Kakhovka hydroelectric dam. Local media reports this.

Recall that on the night of June 6, the upper part of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station was destroyed near Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson region. Dozens of settlements, including Kherson and Nova Kakhovka, began to flood with water.

Russia and Ukraine accuse each other of destroying the dam. There is also a theory that the accident was caused by "pre-existing damage." The company "Ukrhydroenergo" has stated that the plant has been completely destroyed and cannot be restored.
