Armenia's Export Figures Revealed

During the period from January to April of this year, Armenia exported goods worth $2 billion 158 million 463.4 thousand, which marks a 2.1-fold increase compared to the same period last year. The largest volume of exports was directed to Russia.

In terms of product types, precious and semi-precious stones, precious metals, and goods made from these materials comprised the largest share of the export volumes. This information was reported by Armenpress, referencing the Statistical Committee.

In the first four months of this year, exports to EAEU countries amounted to $1 billion 109 million 873.2 thousand, showing a 3.8-fold increase compared to the same period last year, while exports to EU countries totaled $234 million 989.7 thousand, reflecting a 9.5 percent decrease from the first four months of the previous year.

The largest export volume was to Russia, amounting to $1 billion 64 million 44.8 thousand, which is an increase of 3.8 times compared to January-April 2022. The United Arab Emirates ranked second, with Armenia exporting goods worth $372 million 641.8 thousand in the same period, an increase of 8.9 times year-on-year. China came in third, with exports from Armenia to China totaling $135 million 017.4 thousand in the first four months of this year, reflecting a 20.1 percent increase compared to the same period in 2022.
