All Beaches in Hurghada Closed Following Fatal Shark Attack
Authorities in Egypt's Red Sea Governorate have decided to close all beaches in Hurghada following the death of a Russian citizen due to a shark attack. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing a source.
On June 8, it was revealed that a Russian citizen had died from a shark attack in Hurghada. The Russian Consulate General in Hurghada has confirmed the death of the Russian citizen.
According to eyewitnesses, the shark first bit 23-year-old Vladimir Popov’s leg before dragging him underwater.
It has been noted that the shark was able to swim closer to people due to the absence of protective nets in the water.
