Video: Zakharova Comments on Armenian Security Council Secretary's Statements
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, addressed the statements made by the Secretary of Armenia's Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, during a press briefing today.
Grigoryan stated in a broadcast on Public Television that the unblocking, in the context of Armenia, means that border guard services will be carried out only by Armenian services. He noted that Armenia's position on this issue is very clear, and the parties have acknowledged it, expressing hope that other partners would also move forward based on this principle. Additionally, Grigoryan raised the issue of selling weapons to Armenia and collaborating within the framework of the CSTO.
Zakharova noted that the media representative did not fully quote Grigoryan's statement when raising the question. She said, "There were attacks against Moscow. First, I would like your mentioned high-ranking official (Armen Grigoryan) to clarify whether he prefers normal dialogue, which is not only possible but should occur, and of which we have experience with the Armenian side, or such statements. We choose the former."
