Video: Will You Start Penalizing for Tinted Windows or Not? Gegham Manukyan

During a discussion at the National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee, MP Gegham Manukyan requested a clear clarification on whether vehicles with tinted windows will be fined today, as people are confused by the announcements.

"Clearly inform people whether they will be fined or not, so that they know, instead of vaguely stating that we will treat it gently, we will be lenient, yet people are still being fined," Manukyan said.

Committee Vice Chair Armen Khachatryan agreed with Gegham Manukyan, acknowledging that there are various interpretations regarding this issue. "In fact, measures of administrative influence were supposed to be implemented starting from the 1st, and the Administrative Code provides for a fine of 25,000 dram. We discussed this with the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the 31st, as it is considered a violation, and there should be accountability for violations. We decided that less coercive measures should be used to achieve the desired outcome, and a warning through an administrative comment would be the appropriate form of accountability. It was decided that in the coming days, we would implement the penalty in the form of a comment, after which the main penalty, the fine, would be applied," he explained.
