Finland to Expel 9 Staff Members of Russian Embassy

Finland will expel 9 staff members from the Russian Embassy. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Finnish government office.

“Finland will expel 9 individuals who worked at the Russian Embassy and engaged in intelligence activities. Their actions violate the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations,” the statement read.

The Finnish authorities have informed the Russian ambassador about their decision.

The decision was made during a joint meeting of the Finnish president and the country's government’s committee on foreign policy and security policy.
