Video: Young Man Stabbed His Peer, Then Attacked His Father; 22-Year-Old Dies After 6 Days

A young man was stabbed by a peer and then attacked his own father, ultimately succumbing to his injuries after remaining unconscious for 6 days in a hospital.

On May 25 at 10:40 PM, the Artashat police department received a report from the Artashat hospital that a 22-year-old resident of the village Aygezard had been admitted with a penetrating abdominal gunshot wound. His condition was critical, and after receiving initial first aid, he was transferred to Erebuni Medical Center.

Police discovered that approximately 40 minutes prior to the emergency call, the victim had been involved in a dispute over baseless and absurd questions with another young man from the village Aygepat. This individual had come armed with a knife. After stabbing the young man, he also attacked the father, who managed to defend himself successfully, allowing the assailant to flee.

The next day, police located and arrested the attacker in the village of Aygepat and brought him in for questioning. The young man confessed to the crime and was subsequently transferred to a detention facility. On May 28, he was incarcerated following a court ruling.

On May 31, Erebuni Medical Center reported that the victim had died without regaining consciousness.
