U.S. on Dialogue and Negotiations between Yerevan and Baku

The U.S. Department of State emphasizes the importance of open dialogue between Yerevan and Baku for achieving progress, in response to a query from the Armenian service of Voice of America. An official from the U.S. foreign policy agency, who requested anonymity, stated, “We are encouraged by the ongoing engagement and progress in the negotiations between the parties regarding the peace agreement, including today's meeting of leaders in Chișinău. Open dialogue is essential for progress, including a full understanding of perspectives. We will continue to encourage dialogue and support the parties as they work towards achieving a lasting and dignified peace.”

It is also notable that during a meeting with the Armenian community in Moldova, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan mentioned that a meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan is expected in Washington on June 12.
