Russia Has Lost Its Status as an Economic and Military Power: Blinken

Russian President Vladimir Putin's war against Ukraine has been a "strategic failure," U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated, according to DW.

"As a result of the war, Russia has lost its status as an economic and military power; its army has weakened, and many residents have left the country," he said.

Blinken added that the United States will assist in creating the "future Ukrainian army," including modern air power, integrated air defense, ammunition production, and providing modern armored vehicles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

He emphasized that a ceasefire on Russia's terms would not lead to just and lasting peace, but would "reward the aggressor and punish the victim," according to the U.S. Secretary of State.
