What Was Discussed at the Quintuple Meeting: Details
During the quintuple meeting held in Chișinău, key issues were discussed concerning the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. This was announced by the Government’s press service.
"Topics discussed during the meeting included the unblocking of regional transport and economic infrastructure, work on border delineation and ensuring border security between the two countries, the agreement for the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the necessity to address the rights and security of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as issues related to prisoners, missing persons, and other humanitarian concerns," the statement read.
It is worth noting that the quintuple meeting took place today in the village of Bulboaca, about 45 kilometers from Moldova's capital Chișinău, with the participation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, President of the European Council Charles Michel, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
After the meeting, the President of the European Council informed reporters that a trilateral meeting involving the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President of Azerbaijan, and himself is scheduled for July 21 in Brussels.
Prior to this, the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan held talks in Brussels on May 14, with Michel's participation, and on May 25 in Moscow, with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
