Border Delimitation, Peace Treaty: Charles Michel on the Quintuple Meeting
The negotiations were effective. This was how Charles Michel, the President of the European Council, described the talks following the quintuple meeting that concluded in Chișinău.
He noted that during this meeting, they had the opportunity to address all the topics that were discussed in Brussels on May 14.
“We discussed the issues of border delimitation and the peace treaty. This meeting served as a very good preparation for the Brussels meeting on July 21,” said the European Council President.
Michel also announced that the next quintuple meeting with the same participants will take place on October 5 in Spain. It is worth mentioning that today's quintuple meeting included the participation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, European Council President Charles Michel, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The meeting lasted about an hour and a half. Prior to the quintuple meeting, a brief trilateral meeting was held for approximately 10 minutes in the format of Pashinyan–Michel–Aliyev.
